Andratx is a little coastal town located on the south-west tip of the island of Mallorca. This ancient site was not of much interest to tourists or locals until recently, other than for its castle, but in the past five years it has been transformed. With the help of EU financing and foreign money, Andratx has been much improved and now has a reputation for being the up and coming area in Mallorca for the sailing crowd. Andratx is nestled in its own bay and sheltered by hills on either side, making it a lovely romantic spot for a peaceful alternative to other resorts in Mallorca.
